We take pride in the fact that we attempt to health test MOST of our puppies and dogs, not just the ones potentially being bred! We also take pride in knowing that we submit ALL health test results, regardless of results, to OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals)! We believe being honest about all health results provides a brighter future for the preservation of all Basenjis!

Recommended health tests for Basenjis include special tests for eyes, hips and fanconi syndrome. We believe in having routine check-ups with our vets and make sure bloodwork is checked regularly to ensure blood and hormone levels are appropriate, organs are functioning properly, and that no parasites are present. All dogs are kept in pristine condition, with regular exercise, close monitoring of their diets, supplementation when needed and of course, monthly heartworm/internal parasite prevention is given!
