​​Why a basenji puppy from an experienced preservation breeder?​

We have been breeding basenjis since the late 70's and are currently into our third generation in our program. The information on health and temperament for each of the dogs in our 3-6 generation pedigrees is known to us. We breed with experience on anatomy, and personality, to produce a BETTER basenji in each generation. With our history of dog competition, we breed for AKC standard adherence ensuring our dogs are outstanding in conformation and temperament. This assures the companion buyer of the highest quality product and predictability.

​Currently our companion reservation list is CLOSED for breeding to occur in Fall of 2024, for puppies available in Spring 2025.  If you are serious about adding a basenji to your household, we recommend early (up to one year) reservations. Remember that basenjis only go into estrus once a year, usually in the fall. Generally our list is full by the end of August as we only take 2-3 advance companion reservations per litter.
